Sustainable Management Code
The Code of Sustainable Management of the Company of La Garrotxa and Collsacabra is a tool that resulted from the work and joint deliberations of the Fundació Privada Garrotxa Líder, Consorci de Medi Ambient and Salut Pública and Consorci de Benestar Social de la Garrotxa. It attempts to orientate companies in the adoption of measures of economic management and social and environmental respect for people and for the environment. It consists of 31 articles, with their corresponding indicators, that are structured in three areas: economic, social and environmental.
Adherence to the Code is totally voluntary and free for the companies. It implies a commitment to comply and a will to begin a process of internal reflection aimed at improving the integral management of the company as well as the publication of an annual report of sustainability or "triple balance of results".
Tourism Garrotxa has applied this code since 2006 and it allows the optimisation of entrepreneurial management based on respect for the environment and people and makes a contribution to the sustainable development of the territory with the incorporation of measures to preserve the environment. It also improves the corporate image of the company, gets and ensures loyalty from new clients, attracts and retains good professionals and improves work conditions and internal communications.
