Information Points

To offer information of quality was, and is, one of the principal objectives of Tourism Garrotxa and La Garrotxa Volcanic Zone Natural Park. It is for this reason that in 2001 the accreditation of tourism services as Points of Information was started.

This was one of the first tasks that resulted from CETS' first five-year strategy and still continues today.

A training course that is open to anyone interested in improving their knowledge of aspects of tourism in La Garrotxa is organised annually. Those who complete it and who are involved in some entity connected to Garrotxa Tourism (accommodation, tourist offices...) can be accredited as an Information Point.

In this way, the number of accredited Information Points grows every year and improves the information available to people who approach the Tourist Offices and to those responsible for private tourist services.

The Information Points gather the complaints and suggestions that are left in the boxes made available for this purpose, so that Tourism Garrotxa and La Garrotxa Volcanic Zone Natural Park can guarantee procedures are correct. Another task of the Information Points is to compile details on the people that use their service.

The existence and good functioning of these services is vital, as Tourism Garrotxa relies on the data to anticipate or correct some of its functions (production of publications, assistance at fairs...).
